Libraries provide vital support to local communities in Devon
Sent on behalf of Alex Kittow, CEO of Libraries Unlimited.
Dear Kingskerswell Parish,
I’m really pleased to be sending you a copy of Libraries Unlimited’s 2021-22 Impact Report, which shows the difference libraries make to the lives of local people and businesses all across Devon as we enrich lives and build communities.
Libraries Unlimited is the charity which operates 54 public libraries across Devon and Torbay. We’re passionate about libraries, as we know our customers tell us that they are a key part of their lives, and the life of many towns and local communities, offering a free, safe space for people to access a wide range of services, as our Impact Report outlines.
As the cost of living crisis hits, especially over winter, we’re encouraging more people to use their local library through our ‘Libraries for Life’ campaign – see further info HERE – providing a warm space to meet, a warm drink, free winter coats, and extra activities to promote wellbeing and combat isolation.
I’d be delighted if you could circulate this email around your colleagues and include any information on our Libraries for Life campaign in your residents newsletters, to spread the word about the free services we’re offering. Your local library would also be more than happy to welcome you and outline the services they offer in your local area.
Please don’t hesitate to speak to me if you’d like any further information on what we’re up to.
Thanks,
Alex Kittow
